“Celebrate birthday”
Before arriving I emailed asking if they could arrange a simple in-room setup to celebrate my husband's birthday; the hotel replied they would have it ready before check-in and would also provide a cake. After check-in the staff led us to the room — to our great surprise... nothing had been prepared, of course we were disappointed. We then contacted the front desk and later the staff who had been emailing us; they all admitted they had forgotten the arrangements and apologized. Only after we went out for dinner and returned in the evening did we find the decorations. This is a very basic mistake. Their service needs improvement. As for the facilities, the villa interiors and grounds were very clean and tidy. Location-wise, taking a Grab to the city center is only about a 25-minute drive.

Liked: A special appreciation to Mr TOM and his wonderful team. Their service was truly exceptional — professional, attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. They took care of every detail and made our stay comfortable and memorable. Their hospitality and dedication went far beyond our expectations. A fantastic team and one of the highlights of our stay. Highly recommended!

“Second superb stay”
This was my second visit to Thantara and it was even better than the first sensational stay. Not only is the villa a perfect size, with its own pool just big enough to to swim lengths in, but it’s cleaned every day to a superb standard, the mini-bar is stocked and of reasonable value. The staff are exceptional. No request is too big and they are accommodating, well-mannered, kind and helpful. In 20ish years of global travel, it’s probably, overall, the best place I’ve stayed - and I’ve stayed in some of the world’s best 5* resorts. Tom and Ben were particularly stand-out members of the team. Well done Thantara - I’ll be back! Thank you
