“You can't get wrong with deer”

Four of us stayed in a bungalow, which was clean but a bit cramped. The main attraction is the female deer roaming freely around the property. They are very cute and friendly. You can buy special food for a small fee and feed them by hand. They were everywhere and even woke us up in the morning as they trotted past our window! The male deer were kept in a separate enclosure, some of them sporting impressive antlers. You could feed them through the fence. The restaurant and swimming pool are in the main building. The pool water was very warm, and the pool was open until 10 pm. The food was good, both at breakfast and dinner. Our main concern was that the staff didn’t seem to enforce appropriate behaviour among some visitors and their children. Some children chased and frightened the deer, even though they are still wild animals and should be treated with respect. We felt that the staff should have done more to prevent this.
