Liked: Great location n facilities. Restaurant was great. Staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant n comfortable. Needed a bouquet of flowers at short notice n Raphael at front desk made it happen. Lovely bouquet.tx u

Disliked: Nothing. Except the room keys only access ur floors n can’t go to another floor.

Liked: This is easily one of the best city hotels in Europe, especially when the weather is fine and you can float in the rooftop pool with spectacular views of the sailboats on the Alster or have breakfast under the huge old trees in the beautiful garden. Location, staff, food, bar, value, and the obsession with every detail of the interior are impressive. I can not think of a more pleasant hotel experience in the center of a major European city.

Liked: The breakfast was one of the best you can get in Germany.

Disliked: The gym was too small, not at all a fit for such a nice Hotel.

Liked: Our room was spacious and filled with natural light. The Parkview Restaurant had delicious food and, needless to say, a very serene and beautiful lake view. The Panoramic View rooftop bar offered an extensive menu, including a thematic cocktail menu inspired by the Americas, which we loved. The live music at the bar on Friday and Saturday nights was lovely as well.

Disliked: We were there for my mother’s birthday, and I had reserved a table at the hotel to celebrate the occasion. We were warmly welcomed with birthday greetings and a lovely table setup. The following morning at breakfast, there was also a note next to our name acknowledging her birthday, and we were again greeted warmly. While this may not be part of the hotel’s usual tradition, I had requested a birthday note in our room when making the dinner reservation, so I was a little disappointed that this was not arranged or missed.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and helpful

Disliked: I arrived by car. They took the keys for my car and gave me a phonenumber for a concierge. I should call him when I wanted the keys back. This strange "ritual" makes no sense to me. They seemed hysterically scared not to get the money. I should pay for it all already at the arrival and when I left I was told that they had kept my card open, so they even could have more money without me handing them my card again. I had to leave because it began to snow, and I couldn't get my car back immediately because they wanted to clean it from snow first. But when I finally got it, it really wasn't cleaned anyway. In the room it was impossible to stop the ventilation system from running in the bathroom and that ruined my sleep. The overall impression was that all the details that should make this hotel something speciel and "high-end" actually just made things worse and were quite stressing. But other guests may have other experiences and liked it all instead...

Liked: One of the most spectacular city hotels I have been to. Absolute five star superior experience on every level. The location in a park by the lake in walking distance to the city center is unbeaten. The indoor/outdoor pool on the roof with terrace and bar with views over the lake and the city is unforgettable. Rooms, staff, restaurants, breakfast are impeccable. We will be back. We loved the bike rental service because its the best way around town.
