“Exceptional Hotel”

Visiting Myanmar can be a stressful experience. My time at The Hotel @ Tharabar Gate was nothing short of phenomenal and I was significantly less stressed as a result. The staff helped me with everything I needed and provided local contacts for making my videos. The location is the best in Old Bagan. The UNESCO world heritage site is literally just outside the front door. Would recommend to anyone.

“Very good”

The location is excellent, but I found a cockroach in the room, and the shower water wasn't hot enough.

“Beautiful hotel in great location”

The room was beautiful and comfortable. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and also beautiful. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive and I would definitely stay here again. I really enjoyed my stay and it was easy to walk out into Old Bagan from here

“Ideal for sightseeing in Bagan.”

You can enjoy a very relaxing time. Since there are no restaurants nearby, it would be more comfortable if the hotel restaurant had a slightly wider menu.

“Scam”

They never heard of Agoda and they didn't check me in. I complained to Agoda and instead of reimbursing my payment Agoda is now trying to get a response from the hotel confirming I don't stay there. That was about a month ago. They obviously didn't answer to Agoda, and I didn't get my reimbursement. Stay away from this scam.

“Great stay in the middle of the ruins in Bagan”

Expansive multi-room hotel that is well located just outside Bagan Old Town. Comfortable large rooms, helpful staff and a delicious breakfast. Very family oriented so lots of kids around.

“A great hotel in Bagan”

Such an amazing hotel with staff that are super helpful, a gorgeous lush garden around the pool and decent cheap massages! The staff helped us with many things and were kind hearted. You can walk to many temples near Old Bagan or rent an ebike from the hotel. Recommended!
