Disliked: They don't pick up customers service calls

Liked: The location was decent for our journey, and the food at the restaurant was okay. Pricey, especially with a 2poundnmeasly slice of bread,.

Disliked: The room was so small you could barely get in past the door with a small luggage. The bathroom door could not open all the way—it had to wedge into the bed. And maneuvering around the bed was a gauntlet to hope to not stub a toe on a bed post.

Disliked: the shower did not work well the mattress had not been rotated often enough, so it was not really comfortable to sleep in

Liked: Very comfortable rooms in a quiet location. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the pub is very atmospheric. Great value for money.

Disliked: It was very cold in the bathroom and the water was warm, not hot.

Liked: Well located

Disliked: Not clean and very poor plumbing

Liked: Really good value for money, basic but comfy. Good food, and a really friendly helpful team. Convenient location, free parking, surprisingly quiet. The bed was small but comfy.

Disliked: Heating was hard to regulate, and the shower wasn't great. The showerhead was a bit leaky and the water was warm fading to tepid. But it was a budget price.

Liked: Arrived late and was warmly greeted by the pub staff. Even made us a portion of chips after the kitchen had taken last orders - really exceptional care! All in all, a no frills stay with everything you’d need. But do keep in mind if booking a room that says steep stairs - they mean it!

We stayed here during our Oxford to Windsor Thames Path walk. Basic lodging, but clean and well located for our needs.
