“Large room, convenient location”
Nice stay at the hotel, large room for Japanese standard, good breakfast. Close enough to the main sights.

“Beyond expectations! Respect, Integrity and Excellence”
Liked: The friendly atmosphere and relaxing nature of the property, it was a pleasure to see modern western Japan meet old Japan in a seamless way. The breakfast was a pure treat and something that we miss every morning since our departure

“Very good”
Liked: Staff were very friendly room was super clean and spacious. Loved the fact that we had a washing machine in our room, was a perfect way to get everything ready to go and clean for the second half of our trip
Disliked: Would have liked to be a tiny bit closer to the main street, however, it was only a 15 minute walk to the main street.

“A nice traditional Japanese room experience, but lacking in comfort, cleanliness, and convenience.”
Liked: The Japanese-style room was a nice experience and gave us a more traditional feel.
Disliked: However, the daily housekeeping was not thorough enough, and overall we found the cleanliness below our expectations. We understand that this is a traditional Japanese-style room, but there was nowhere comfortable to sit and lean back. You either have to lie down or sit on the traditional floor cushions without any back support, which is not very comfortable after a long and tiring day. The location was also quite far from center and metro.

“A refined traditional experience”
Liked: This was my closest experience to traditional Japanese culture and staying. The premises were great. We stayed in the Japanese room and really gave us a glimpse of Japanese traditional accommodation. Kimonos were also provided. The Machiya is in a great neighbourhood and we thoroughly enjoyed our staying
Disliked: Nothing really. Maybe there could be more options for breakfast, having said this I enjoyed both the traditional and European breakfast. Quality was superb
