“A surprise in the pullout sofa”
Liked: The location was convenient for our purposes, near the university and a train stop (but not as convenient if you wanted to stay in the city later at night). The restaurants next door were also very friendly. The shower was nice (but a little cramped). And the actual bed was comfy. But...
Disliked: The very unacceptable part was that the pullout sofa had not been cleaned. We pulled it out to find dirty sheets, pillow and towel! As well as someone's snack left there...after we asked for it to be cleaned, we got a response but no one actually came to clean it during the 4 nights we were there. I hope the hotel will fix this problem for future guests. Even if we did not come as a group of 3, the pullout should always be checked and cleaned between guests. Other than this, the room was fine.

“For a specific kind of traveller who doesn't mind paying hotel prices for basic Airbnb experience”
I would not choose to stay at The Oliver, a self-service apartment located near the Somosaguas campus of UCM, if I was coming as a tourist to Madrid. I am not sure who it is for. It's not cheap for what it offers. My studio room is very basic, so basic the bed doesn't even have a blanket. The bed does have these super cheap plastic foam pillows that feel of nothing. There is no staff on site, so if you have issues, you have to make a telephone call to a staff who may or may not understand English. Because the room is not designed to mimic a hotel room, all the light switches are located in ways that are inconvenient (only near the entrance). I do not recommend this place at all.

“Great location”
Liked: Great location, easy and walkable area with restaurant and shops. Very quiet. The apartments are well maintained and with all the necessary utilities. Air condition works great. We were a family of 5 and got the largest apartment with one bedroom and a queen size bed and a queen size sleeping sofa. We were comfortable and happy. Highly recommended. Check in was smooth. Laundry area is downstairs. Dryer takes for ever and unfortunately didn’t dried the clothes but we were able to hang it inside the apartment and it worked for us.
Disliked: Everything was great!

“Fin de semana de visita de universidades”
La cama de matrimonio era suficientemente cómoda. Eché de menos alguna almohada extra. El sifá cama, pese a ser amplio, era bastante incómodo. Habitación impecable y servicio rápido. Si bien, no recibí mensaje con claves para poder acceder al edificio y tuve que ponerme en contacto con la centralita donde me atendieron rápidamente.
