“2nd time at Palines”

I was given a third floor, which was difficult for my age. No choice, because they said they were fully booked. Their towel rack was held up by scotch tape. They quickly handed me bottled water when I asked. Aircon still strong. This room didn’t have water heater. It did have a kettle, 2 mugs, a refrigerator, 2 towels, one bedsheet, and brittle plastic hangers (one broke). I’d stay there again, for the price of a room. It’s close to where I need to be. It’s clean. The neighborhood is quiet.

“Not worth your money”

Our check-in was scheduled for 1:00 PM, but we arrived after 2:30 PM and the room still had not been cleaned. This was disappointing, especially since we were already well past the check-in time and that we booked more than a week in advance. We only booked this place because we needed somewhere convenient to stay while attending a nearby party and visiting family and friends. We were not expecting anything luxurious, just a basic, clean and comfortable room. The room in my opinion is not worth the price. The air-conditioning unit seemed old and poorly maintained, was not cold enough for the room, and was also very noisy. Considering the delayed check-in, condition of the room, and overall quality, I feel the accommodation is worth only around half of what they are currently charging.
