APA Hotel Pride Akasaka Kokkaigijidomae

Very clean room with good amenities. Just a walk across to subway station.

Love APA as usual!

Amazing hotel. The location is incredibly good, the hotel is also new

The APA experience is always good. The rooms are small but they are usually more comfortable than any others. It’s always a great option.

My stay has been pleasant in this hotel. I stayed for 3 nights - although room is a little bit small, it's okay for 1 person stay as it might be challenging if you have more than 1 person - doable but might feel a little crampy! I do like that the walk to the train station is really near and the area is quiet...though finding food may be a little bit more challenging as there is not much food options nearby. Nonetheless, I do like the hot bath which you can use.

If you want to feel safe this hotel is kind of surrounded by police due to its proximity to so many seats of government. It literally overlooks a shrine with a lot tori gates and steps, too if you need a quick hit of history and culture. The convenience store is a bit of a walk, but only 3 minutes. Subway stations are all around. A 10 minute walk takes you to a rabbit warren of restaurants, bars, and shops. Very close to BIC camera store as well, which has everything.

I recommend not getting the breakfast included with your State because you will be eating the same food every day. Nothing will change but the pineapples instead of mangoes and vice versa.

Liked: The room itself is standard APA fare with a cramped room. It has a small public bath which is a plus. The bed felt harder than other APA hotels I've been staying in.

Disliked: The drawback is the location. Being in central Tokyo you get used to there being a konbini in virtually ever corner and restaurants all over the place. This hotel is right in the government quarters which I guess is the reason why the neighborhood essentially dead with konbinis and restaurants some distance away. I also suppose that's the reason why the hotel has a small self-service "konbini" section selling some snacks. I chose this hotel because I had meetings in the vicinity, but it is not a hotel I would recommend if you're tourist or if it's your first time in Tokyo.
