InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto By IHG

We booked the junior suite as we were having our wedding reception nearby. The room was lovely but we could hear the trams at night. Parking was convenient and cheap at $50 per day. The hotel was unable to confirm early check-in for us and in fact our room was not ready until after 4.30 pm, but they arranged for us to use a different room for my hair and makeup to be done. Just be aware that some VIP guests can request late check-out at 4 pm so the advertised 3 pm check-in is not necessarily true. The staff were polite and helpful throughout though.

Liked: It was in a great location and it was lovely and clean

Disliked: The sauna and spa were closed

Highly recommend, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean.

Liked: The service was excellent.

Disliked: The value for money was a bit poor. I think it was overpriced for the size of the room.

Liked: Location was very good, close to a lot of places we wanted to go. Breakfast was good. On our last day, we had to check out very early. Staff prepared breakfast boxes for all of us, so we all enjoyed:)

Disliked: They came in to clean up the room very late around 4 pm. I wish they could clean up the room a little bit earlier.

Liked: Amazing breakfast

Disliked: No where really to hang up wet towels

Liked: Location Classy Architecture

Disliked: Nothing

Breakfast was quite good, and the location was great. But the staff service was average and a bit careless. For example, the amenities restocked after daily housekeeping were missing different items each time, and at checkout the staff deducted my deposit without explanation. I had to send emails to follow up, and it took over a month to get the money back.
