The Time New York, part of JdV by Hyatt

Liked: Great location and the staff was extraordinarily nice and welcoming

Disliked: Not a 4.5 star hotel at all. The amenities and quality of the room did not align with the hotel rating in the least. The headboard was worn out and ripping. The furniture and walls had holes and had large sections of missing paint.

Stayed here for 5 nights and I would say I would NOT recommend this hotel. 1. Rooms are dilapidated and dirty. For $350++ per night, this is not what you would expect. Especially from a Hyatt hotel 2. They asked for a $300 deposit upon check-in. And upon check out, I was told that my deposit would go back to my card and that they would send me an email re: my receipt. Its been almost a week since I checked out but still no email. Moreover, my credit card has been declining a $10.98(?) charge from the hotel which I dont know what for. No email, whatsoever. I asked my sister in law who checkout days after me to confirm the situation at the lobby but they just told her that it was sent to my email already. As of writing this review, I have not received any email. I am sure these photos are sufficient enough to dissuade y’all.

Liked: Location, front desk staff, mirror TV, and wine!!

Disliked: Nowhere to get bottled water

Liked: Great location for exploring midtown

Disliked: Midtown is 24/7 busy and noisy

Liked: Location

Disliked: I actually stayed there twice during this trip (I left to attend a wedding at another hotel). First room was exceedingly small. Not an inch to story anything in the bathroom and not even a nightstand (or decent side table by the bed to story anything).

Overall very underwhelming. This a small boutique hotel. The “lobby” is sort of non existent, gym (tiny) and the rooms are clean but overall design and feel is sort of Tribeca chic but mid quality. And there is no TV in the room which is fairly weird! I didn’t see a hotel restaurant but maybe you can use the Serafina which is in the same building. Anyway the stated price is misleading because they tack on additional charges. So just stay at a larger and better hotel IMHO

Liked: Parking validation and close to time square.

Disliked: Pillows stink. Vent in the bathroom didn't work so fire alarm went off ( VERY ANNOYING). Lamp in the room didn't work and no plug near 1 of the bed for charging my phone.
