Liked: Room was large

Disliked: Hotel smelled of horrible sewer gas in the lobby and all the way up to the 4th floor. Staff acknowledged this but said there was nothing they could do about it. It was revolting There was not a single piece of artwork in the lobby or room. This is definitely not a 5 star hotel.

Liked: The staff was very nice and professional. Other than that, that’s about the only positive thing I can say due to the excessive noise.

Disliked: The noise. Just below our room was a public bench where drunk locals would drink, yell, and smoke all night-literally until 4AM every night. And when I say yelling, imagine someone screaming at the top of their lungs across the river to their friends. This went on for 20 hours of the day. I told the staff and they said since it’s public there’s nothing they could do. This level of constant disruption should have been made fully aware. I asked fellow guests if they experienced the same same and everyone advised they had. Ive added photos to show how close this was. Our room was 10 feet from party town.

Liked: Location and staff were very nice and helpful

Liked: The property was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly, the location was perfect.. central but not noisy.

Disliked: The building is old, the lobby is quite small and lacked the grandness of a 5 star hotel. The prices ran higher than average which is what drives the higher expectations.

Liked: Wonderful historic hotel with beautiful view and super-nice professional staff. The building is beautiful, yet quiet. Easy walk from everything. My room was perfectly clean (and I am very picky about dust in the corner, hair or water stain in the bathroom - my room was immaculate). Staff were respectful and polite, even when I arrived sweaty and tired, they treated me with so much respect. I loved the restaurant too, food, drink and service were excellent. I researched a lot where to stay when I came, next time I won’t have to do it: this is where I will stay again.

Liked: Absolutely beautiful and perfect location. Staff personnel could not have been more helpful — very pleasant.

Liked: The staff was exceptional. The hotel was beautifully appointed. Our room overlooked the canal. The bedding was extremely comfortable. We felt very well cared for. It was a perfect location to see all the sights. The restaurant had a beautiful view overlooking the canal.
