“We loved Verona, the area of the apartment and the apartment apart from the dysfunctional A/C.”
Liked: Fantastic location in a great area close to everything you wanted. The staff member who introduced us to the apartment was very helpful and knowledgeable. Walkable distance to all main attractions.
Disliked: The aircondition was a big problem for us - had to be be emptied for water every 3 1/2 hour or it would stop and you had to follow a set procedure to restart it. It was 33-34 degrees, so A/C was required at all times. It was particularly a problem at night.

“Verona short break”
Liked: Location great, very good quality accommodation, very clean, everything you need. sorry can't remember lady's name who checked us in but she was great and helped with all questions we asked and notes on map provided. Flexible with checkin time change appreciated. Would stay again
Disliked: To help maybe highlight stairs! At accommodation please leave notice in accommodation to explain it is an old building that too many large appliances on at once causes outage & a/c unit water needs emptying very regularly if left on. Otherwise brilliant, if we'd known re electricity a/c it would have been a little smoother

“A charming apartment full of Italian character, in a great location for discovering Verona on foot.”
Liked: The location is very good, right at the edge of Verona’s old city centre and ideal for exploring the city on foot. Check-in was very easy. Chiara was waiting for us in front of the building, showed us everything in the apartment and gave us some good recommendations for places to eat and, of course, gelato. The apartment itself was spacious enough and full of character. The decoration makes you feel a little like you have stepped into a romantic Italian movie 😊. The apartment is located above a pasta shop, which is an added bonus. Make sure to try their tortellini, they were delicious!
Disliked: The only thing that didn’t really work for me was the bed. I found it a little too small and too soft, but mattress preferences are very personal.

“Nice house, inflexible host”
Liked: Great location, lovely space, good recommendations from Licia
Disliked: We booked this accommodation while we were in Bolzano and had a series of train and bus connections planned to get us to Verona. Unfortunately, one of our trains was cancelled, and the replacement train was so delayed and overcrowded that we couldn't board. As I am pregnant and need to be able to sit during long journeys, we had no choice but to take a bus instead. We messaged Licia to explain the situation and let her know that the public transport disruption might cause us to arrive slightly after the 7:00 pm check-in time. Her responses were simply to be there by 7:00 pm because check-in closed after that, with no acknowledgement of the circumstances or reassurance that there would be any flexibility. This caused us a great deal of unnecessary stress. After reading previous reviews mentioning guests being unable to access the property after 7:00 pm, we became genuinely worried we would be left without accommodation despite the delays being completely outside our control. When our bus arrived late in Verona, my partner had to leave me behind and race across the city on an e-scooter while I made my own way by bus, as there were no taxis available and the taxi queue was extremely long. Thankfully, he arrived at around 7:02 pm and was still able to check us in. Licia seemed slightly apologetic when he arrived, which we appreciated. My advice to Licia would be to take a more understanding and flexible approach to check-in when guests are dealing with genuine travel disruptions. We kept her informed throughout, yet her responses remained inflexible and added significant stress to what was already a difficult journey. A little empathy and reassurance would have made a huge difference.
