Villa Montparnasse Hotel

A lovely historic hotel with lots of character. There is some evident wear and tear (the carpets have stains and the bathtub has stains and chips), but otherwise a great stay in a great location.

We loved the location and the staff very much and the room was clean but very much needs renovation as very tired/worn and dated. Breakfast was great as well. Traditional food with croissants/cheese/hams/boiled eggs and cereals Once renovated we will be back

Been going back to Villa Montparnasse for over many years. Has the right balance of everything

Liked: I enjoyed a short but wonderful stay here. Neighborhood is lovely with lots of awesome healthy and ethnic restaurants, sidewalk cafes and parks nearby. It was easy 15min walk from train station and took 45 mins to walk down to Eiffel Tower and Seine River, as single female traveller I felt very safe walking alone. My room was clean and quiet with great amenities and comfy bed. Mahe at front desk was very kind and helpful, I will definitely plan a longer stay next time.

Everything was great and honestly better than I expected. The location was definitely the highlight, as it’s very close to both the Metro and RER. It’s especially convenient for tourists traveling to and from the airport, since you don’t have to carry a large suitcase up and down the Metro, which can be quite inconvenient on some lines compared to the RER. From the hotel, it only takes around 20–30 minutes by Metro to reach most of the main tourist attractions, which worked really well for me. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend it.

It's not the newest hotel but I booked this place for its more local-feeling charm, which was definitely what I got. The room was spacious for the price, and I even got a lovely terrace to look outside as well. The neighbourhood felt safe at night too, with convenience shops and cafes nearby. I would book this place again.

We're very pleased with this hotel. We really enjoyed that it had a king size bed that the room was spacious with AC. The location was great and loading and unloading the car in front of the front desk was very easy

This is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Forty days prior to check‑in, I sustained a leg injury with official MRI hospital records and was forced to cancel my France trip. There was more than enough time for the hotel to resell the room with zero real‑world losses on their side. Nevertheless, the hotel acted ruthlessly, flat‑out refusing any cancellation or refund, effectively forcing me to travel despite my injury. My complaint submitted through French official consumer platform Signal Conso yielded no fair outcome. Their conduct shows zero sense of responsibility or basic customer care. The property itself is worn‑out and poorly maintained. Rooms have no air‑conditioning, which makes staying there unbearable in hot weather. You end up bearing all the cost for circumstances beyond your control. I strongly advise travelers to steer clear of this establishment, and exercise caution when booking via Agoda. I have attached the hotel’s official response from Signal Conso for your review.
