Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi

In addition to food and hot springs, they also periodically hold handmade craft workshops. This time I had the chance to try a traditional handcraft activity. They also have a Friday happy hour from 5–7pm with small snacks and plum wine mixed with oolong tea—very tasty. For families with children, they show cartoons on the rooftop at night. Besides the rooftop pool and hot-spring facilities, the neighboring Just Sleep hotel offers a gym and gender-segregated public baths that can be used free of charge.

1. The room was rather small, and the in-room bathtub was also very small. 2. The breakfast had a good variety of items — especially the croissants, which were delicious and a must-try! 3. The afternoon tea was thoughtfully prepared, offering black tea, cocktails, other drinks, and cakes. 4. The room soundproofing was poor. 5. You can walk out and stroll around Jiaoxi Township, which is convenient. 6. Parking spaces are limited — it's first come, first served.

The rooftop pool and hot springs are nice, and the breakfast is good. In the evening the lighting in the in-room hot spring tub area wasn’t very bright. I rinsed the tub with water first, then drained it and got in to soak. Halfway through my soak I noticed a round clump of hair stuck in the tub drain from a previous guest—so gross. Please pay attention to cleaning the tub drains in the rooms.

The accommodation was very clean and well-equipped, and the staff were friendly, making you feel right at home. The location is convenient with easy transportation, and they offer free parking and stable Wi‑Fi. Sleep quality was good, breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the views were beautiful. Overall a very pleasant experience. The value for money is somewhat average, but it’s still worth recommending.

Individual onsen at each room which is great, the size of onsen suits for 1 person. Water dispenser for each floor. Good selection of buffet breakfast. Happy hour with wine and simple snacks.

The hotel room looks poshed and the personal hotbath is fantastic!

I arrived at the hotel early to try to check in. The parking lot had a bit of an unpleasant smell. When I got to the lobby there was a damp, musty odor and I started sneezing a lot. When I tried to check in I had my luggage with me — even though I couldn’t check in yet, no one asked if I wanted to leave my bags, so I had to carry them back to the car. Around 3:00 PM I returned to the lobby and the damp smell had finally faded, but once we went up to the room the air still didn’t circulate well and it smelled bad. After going out for dinner and coming back (around 7:00 PM) there was a strong smell of cooking oil and food. Later, when I went to shower (around 9:30 PM) the bathroom smelled like algae, and when I turned on the faucet brownish water suddenly came out. The bathtub for soaking is outside the bathroom so the layout/flow wasn’t good. I called the night receptionist, who told me the discolored water was normal because it was raining and told me to run the tap for a while. For the smell they told me to move the dehumidifier myself to air it out. When I got into bed I found a long hair in the duvet. The next morning between about 6 and 7 AM I was woken up by a strong smell of cooking oil. I called the morning receptionist, who first asked whether the bathroom window or door was open — but I was sure they were closed (I had smelled the cooking oil the day before and didn’t dare leave anything open). The morning staff then changed our room and the smell went away. After we switched rooms we also noticed our original room didn’t even have the welcome snacks. My impression of this stay is “paying to suffer” — it was really outrageous. I hope the company can make improvements.
