Wonderful Italy Suites

Liked: The appartment is clean and good looking. We were in appartment no. 7, which was spacious, had a coach and a dining area. We had a wonderful stay.

Disliked: We were expecting to find a room with balcony, as in the description before booking, but the room has no balcony. We told the host, but the only confirmed that the room has no balcony. We understood that asking to change room at that point would have been out of the question since the communication with the host was through automatic messages. The communication with the host is the main issue because we didnt receive answers to all the questions we had. 1 day before check in the host contacted us through whatsapp and that is when they started to be more clear. They provide instructions for check in, to open the doors and to use appliances, so you have to read all the info in order to have a smooth check in and use of the appartment. We didnt meet anyone in person. You have to sign a contract online and also fulfill a very detailed registration link. That was easy for me since i am fine with technollogy. But i wished they had a manual for all the procedures to be distributed as soon as you book the appartment, in order to be more clear about what to do, how to do it and when. However we managed to check in smoothly, i just wished it was not that complicated, as it was stressful.

Liked: The room was big, nic, very modern, comfortable, everything was cleane. I like garbage separation. Was walking fistance to many points of interest. Bus and train just at the corner. Good contact either the jest.

Disliked: No that i did not like, but i am not familiar with that kind of cooking plate. Instraction is necessary. I do not feel comfortable to send my personal information ( passport throught internet.

Liked: The kitchenette was very useful and the room was spacious

Disliked: All messages are replied to by a bot so if something goes wrong, you’re out of luck - no one will give you a relevant response. Conflicting messages about garbage disposal (a fine if you don’t take out the garbage and a fine if you put garbage out on the wrong day or time). The key for the building entrance was broken on the key chain so we has to buzz 3 times every time we entered the building and it woke up the whole floor. Dead batteries in the remote controls and while the bot reminded me to wash the dishes, the sponge and dish cloth were filthy- I wouldn’t touch them with a hazmat suit.

Liked: Wonderful Italy Suites is in a great location, very close to the bus and train stations, and close to Corso Umberto which leads you straight to Ortigia. The person I met at the property was very nice and helpful, and gave me a map and 2 bottles of water on the house...

Liked: No breakfast. Wrong location for us. We thought we would be near a usable beach.

Disliked: We were late ariving and could not contact them on the phone. There was no one on site to let us in. When we first arrived we thought the building was derelict and had to find a room for the night. This was a room for travellers staying 2 or 3 nignts - not for a 2 week holiday.

Liked: Good location, clean updated appearance. Sarah the check-in/out host was excellent.

Disliked: Electricity key forces you to be outside or inside together, not possible for one person to be inside and the other to come & go freely. Slow/no response from whatsapp switchboard. Get the sense the communication is not managed well due to too many properties being managed and not enough clarity kept on whats going on with which guests / properties. No clarity on which units go with which pictures as the same listing is used for both a studio and one bedroom and the photos are crammed together. Get this straight b4 booking to avoid issues. Chairs spread thin between properties. One unit has a washing machine, the other doesn't no bresk in pricing, no clarity as to which has which.

Liked: Sarah the check-in/out host very proffesional & nice. Clean updated unit.

Liked: The location is perfect, it has all you need. Close to Ortigia.

Disliked: The property is not clean. There is mould in the bathroom, the curtain in the living room is not clean. We also found dirt on the pillow sheet.
