“The location of the inn is very good, and transportation and dining are very convenient.”
This is my second time staying at this hotel. The first time I stayed with a friend and found the interior had been renovated — very clean and simple, with not-too-old facilities. The main highlight is the location: it’s less than a one-minute walk from Taipei Main Station exit M8, and the room rates are very reasonable. This time I booked for my parents and chose this hotel for them again. It’s very convenient for dining and accessing the MRT and high-speed rail; there’s a 7-Eleven and FamilyMart right across from the hotel and a Starbucks next door, which is especially handy for older guests. I will stay here again next time.

“Everything was great except for the water pressure.”
I stayed on the 7th floor, but the water dispenser seemed to be on the 5th and 8th floors. Towels, body wash, shampoo, and soap are provided. There’s a place to put a suitcase, and there’s enough space for two people to open their suitcases. On another night I stayed in a twin room on the 5th floor, which seemed not yet remodeled. The bathtub showed signs of wear, and you have to set the hot water from the room. The water pressure was much worse than in the other room I stayed in. Other than that, the location is convenient—close to the train station—and there are plenty of convenience stores and shops nearby.

“The accommodation is clean and nice with good value for money.”
It's near Taipei Main Station so the area is generally quiet (kind of like Yeouido). No amenities and no breakfast, but that's actually a plus. There's a convenience store, a Starbucks, and some great breakfast places a minute away, which was nice. The housekeeping lady was extremely diligent — if you heard the door, she'd come right away and ask if you needed housekeeping. They really take cleaning seriously. I didn't see any mosquitoes or bugs.

“Being close to the station is very convenient.”
The renovation gives the bathroom entrance an older feel, but it wasn’t a problem. Japanese was understood, so check-in was easy. There’s a convenience store, McDonald’s, and everything else close to the station, so it’s very convenient. It was right by Exit 8, so even with a lot of luggage it was easy. I’d like to stay here again next time I go to Taipei.

“Very good location but poor in others”
The only selling point of this hotel is the location. It is close to Taipei main mrt station making it convenient for travel. The biggest minus point is the very hard bed. I personally prefer firm beds so when I say it is hard, it is really hard as a rock. My whole back was so sore the next day. Another minus point is the toilet which apparently does not allow flushing of toilet paper. There was no sign to inform that toilet paper cannot be flushed. Being our first time in Taiwan, we were not aware that toilet paper cannot be flushed and should be thrown in the bin. The staff was very quick to respond to our call that the toilet bowl was chocked so that was a plus point for them. Overall, for the price, if you want a hotel that is convenient to get to and you don’t mind the hard beds and not being able to flush toilet paper, it is not too bad.

“This year's Taipei trip, top choice of great hotels.”
Spent the Mid-Autumn holiday on a three-day trip to Taipei. Booked early on Agoda and got a great deal for a Superior Twin room. Location is near Taipei Main Station Exit M8. When arriving by high-speed rail, it’s easy to find Exit M8 right after leaving the station, and the hotel is less than a three-minute walk — very easy to find. On check-in day we were able to check in early and leave our luggage, and on check-out day we could also store our luggage, which made it easy to start and end our sightseeing. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was great, with a bidet toilet. I had hoped for a wet/dry separated shower, but this stay had a bathtub. Staying near Taipei Main Station makes getting to any attraction very convenient. For future trips to Taipei I will book again through Agoda and return to Y Hotel. (The hotel’s facilities and service are both very good. The only issue is the bed is close to the room door and near three adjoining doors, so when neighbors open and close their doors you can noticeably hear and feel the noise and vibration.) Everything else was great.

“Best cost performance.”
Location and staff were excellent. The rooms are also larger than nearby hotels. If the Superior room is available, I recommend booking it without hesitation, even if it costs a little more. Sometimes they start cleaning rooms that have been checked out before 9 AM on certain days or floors, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel for people who are bothered by that.

“Excellent”
Close to Taipei Main Station — you can find it as soon as you exit. The room is surprisingly spacious for the price given its location in front of the station. There’s no electric kettle in the room, but there is an insulated hot-water pot, so you can use the hot-water dispenser near the elevator without any problem. The reception staff were efficient and everything went smoothly. The only downside is the lack of power outlets — charging phones can be a bit difficult.
