Your guided whisky tastings are hosted in some of central Edinburgh’s best independent pubs, away from the packed Royal Mile rooms and conveyor-belt experiences. Small groups. Good drams. Proper conversation.
Some guests are trying Scotch whisky for the first time. Others know their Islay from their Speyside. Both are welcome.
Your tastings focus on discovery rather than ceremony. Interesting bottles. Hidden gems & the Occasional surprise. No jargon. No pressure to “taste properly”. Just the chance to spend an hour enjoying good whisky with someone who knows the stories behind the glass.
We offer a range of tastings, from easy introductions to deeper sessions for experienced whisky drinkers.
What you will do
Over the course of an hour, you’ll try four different categories of Scotch Whisky while learning what makes each one distinct. No jargon. No pressure. Just good whisky and good conversation. You will explore the differences between: Blended Scotch, Blended Malt, Single Malt and Grain Whisky. Perfect for first-timers, casual whisky drinkers, or anyone looking to understand Scotch without the theatre.
