What you will do
In this cooking experience, you will choose one option from ramen, sushi, Japanese home cooking, or character bento. The class begins with a brief introduction to Japanese ingredients and basic cooking techniques. With step-by-step guidance from the instructor, you will then start preparing your selected dishes. In the Japanese home cooking option, you will learn how to make traditional dashi stock and prepare several classic dishes such as teriyaki salmon, rolled omelet, and onigiri. In the ramen option, you will make the broth, cook the noodles, and assemble your own bowl with carefully selected toppings. In the sushi option, you will prepare seasoned sushi rice, practice rolling techniques, and create authentic sushi rolls by hand. In the character bento option, you will shape rice and arrange colorful ingredients to design a playful and creative Japanese-style lunch box. At the end of the class, you will take photos of your creations and enjoy the dishes you have prepared.
